Allah is Merciful and He loves Forgiveness

Allah's Messenger (saws) said that the Shaitaan said, "By Thy Might, my Lord, I shall continue to lead Thy servants astray as long as their spirits are in their bodies!"  The Lord, Who is Great and Glorious, replied, "By My Might, Glory and Exalted Station, I shall continue to pardon them as long as they ask My forgiveness!" [Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2339 Narrated by Abu Sa'id]

The Meaning of Adhan (Call for Prayer)

Virtues of the Adhan
Narrated Abu-Hurairah (Radia-Allaahu ‘anhu) that Allah’s Messenger (Salla-Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “If the people knew (the reward of) pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row [in congregational Salat (prayers)] and found no other way to get that by drawing lots. They would draw lots, and if they knew (the reward of) the Dhuhr prayer (in early moments of its stated time) they would race for it (go early) and if they knew the reward of ‘Isha and Fajr (morning) prayers in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl.” [Al-Bukhari]

Anas Bin Malik (Radia-Allaahu ‘anhu) narrated, “The Messenger of Allah (Salla-Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) said to attack the enemy at dawn. He would listen to the Adhan, so if he heard it, he would stop, otherwise he would charge. Once on hearing a man say: “Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest,” the Messenger of Allah (Salla-Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) remarked: “He is following al-Fitrah (Islam)”. He then heard them say: “I testify that there is no true god but Allah, there is no true god but Allah,”  The Messenger of Allah (Salla-Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “You have come out of fire (of Hell).” They looked and found that he was a shepherd.” [Sahih Muslim]

Abu Hurairah (Radia-Allaahu ‘anhu) narrated that the Prophet (Salla-Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “When the Adhan is pronounced, satan takes to his heels and passes wind to avoid hearing the Adhan. When the Adhan is over, he comes back, and again takes to his heels when the Iqamah is pronounced and after its completion, he returns to whisper into the heart of a person (to distract his attention from his prayer) and makes him remember things which he does not recall before until man forgets how many Rak’ahs he prayed.” [Sahih Muslim]

Allah knows what’s best for us
So why should we complain
We always want the sunshine
But He knows there must be rain

We always want the laughter
And the merriment of cheer
But our hearts will lose their tenderness
If we never shed a tear.

Allah tests us often
With suffering and with sorrow
He tests us not to punish us
But to help us meet tomorrow

For growing trees are strengthened
If they withstand the storm
And the sharp cut of the chisel
Gave the marble grace and form

Allah tests us often
And for every pain He gives to us
Provided we’re patient
Is followed by rich again

So whenever we feel that everything is going wrong
It is just Allah’s way
To make our spirit’s strong.

"Do they not see the birds, that wing their flight in the air towards the sky? Who holds them up but Allah? Surely in this there are signs for the true believers." Qur'an Surah 16. An-Nahl, Ayah 79

Have, then, they [who deny the truth] never considered the birds, enabled [by God] to fly in mid-air, with none but God holding them aloft? In this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who will believe!

"Fasting is a shield. Let no one of you -during his fasting day- behave in an obscene manner, or become angry. If anybody abuses or fights with him, let him say I am fasting," The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Bukhari & Muslim).

The Prophet Muhammad said: "Fasting is a shield. Let no one of you -during his fasting day- behave in an obscene manner, or become angry. If anybody abuses or fights with him, let him say I am fasting," The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Bukhari & Muslim).

The purpose of fasting is to control the soul and refine it. The Messenger of Allah said: “Whoever does not refrain from falsehood in sayings and deeds and acts of ignorance, Allah has no need of his abstention from food and drink,” (Bukhari).

Fasting also means abstaining from evil talks. So if anyone abuses you, ignore him and walk away. A fasting Muslim is meek with high level of self-restraint. The month of Ramadan is the month of Patience. So fasting is called patience because it restrains the soul from

Perfecting the Proofs that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Performed 20 Rak’ats of Tarāwīh Prayer

Perfecting the Proofs that the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) Performed 20 Rak’ats of Tarāwīh Prayer

In this special treatise by Dr. Abul Hasan Hussain Ahmed, a newly discovered Hadith from the well known Sahabi, Jabir ibn Abdullah (ra) has been mentioned with a systematic and detailed analysis of its authenticity probably for the first time in the English language.  The narration in question being as follows and as mentioned in a unique work from the Hadith genre known as al-Mashyakha al-Baghdadiyya by the famous Hadith scholar, al-Hāfiz Abu Tahir al-Silafi (d. 576 AH):

‘That the Prophet ﷺ came out at night in Ramadan

and prayed with the people 24 raka’ts.”

The figure of 24 rak’ats refers to four rak’ats of Isha prayer followed by twenty rak’ats of Tarāwīh, which was all prayed in congregation on those few nights that the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) actually lead Tarāwīh in congregation.

In addition to the above narration which is also found in a work known as Tā’rikh Jurjān by al-Hāfiz Abūl Qasim Hamza Ibn Yusuf al-Sahmi (d. 427 AH), the well known narration from the Sahabi, Abdullah ibn Abbas (ra) has also been analytically reviewed.  The latter narration being as follows with the wording recorded in the Musannaf of Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shayba (d. 235 AH):

“The Prophet ﷺ would pray in Ramadan 20 rak’ats and the witr.”

The above narrations have been presented within this work with reference to the actual manuscripts and their images have also been included for the benefit of the keen minded researchers.

The following diagram is a representation of the chains of transmission (Asānid) that were discussed in a thorough manner within the treatise:

Narrated Ata bin Yasar:
I met `Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As and asked him, "Tell me about the description of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) which is mentioned in Torah (i.e. Old Testament.") He replied, 'Yes. By Allah, he is described in Torah with some of the qualities attributed to him in the Qur'an as follows: "O Prophet ! We have sent you as a witness (for Allah's True religion) And a giver of glad tidings (to the faithful believers), And a warner (to the unbelievers) And guardian of the illiterates. You are My slave and My messenger (i.e. Apostle). I have named you "Al-Mutawakkil" (who depends upon Allah). You are neither discourteous, harsh Nor a noisemaker in the markets And you do not do evil to those Who do evil to you, but you deal With them with forgiveness and kindness. Allah will not let him (the Prophet) Die till he makes straight the crooked people by making them say: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah," With which will be opened blind eyes And deaf ears and enveloped hearts."

Five Ways to Control Your Tongue (Infographic)

Abû Hurayrah relates that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak a good word or remain silent. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his neighbor. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his guest.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]

It is part of a Muslim's faith to speak the truth and to say things that bring about benefit to others. Allah says: “O you who believe! Fear Allah and speak a word that is right. He will set right for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great achievement.” [Sûrah al-Ahzâb : 70-71]

Who is Muhammad Ali's Bodyguard? - A Reminder for All of Us (Video)

There is no power greater than Allah.

Who is Muhammad Ali's body guard?

When Muhammad Ali was interviewed by a TV station at that time about how many bodyguard he had, he answered this:
Interviewer: "Do you have a bodyguard?“
Muhammad Ali: "No, I have One bodyguard. He has no eyes though He sees. He has no ears though He hears. He remembers everything with the aid of mind and memory. When He wishes to create a thing, He just orders it to be and it comes into existence, but this order does not convey the words which takes the tongue to form like our sound carries ears. He hears the secrets of those on the quite thoughts. He stops those whom, whose that? That’s God Allah. He’s my bodyguard. He’s your bodyguard. He’s the Supreme, The Wise.”

Science of Quran: What the 23rd Chromosome reveals the Miracle of Quran

The Science of Quran. Coincidence? I don't think so.

The human genome is organized into 23 pairs of chromosomes (22 pairs of autosomes and one pair of sex chromosomes), with each parent contributing one chromosome per pair. The X and Y chromosomes, also known as the sex chromosomes, determine the biological sex of an individual: females inherit an X chromosome from the father for a XX genotype, while males inherit a Y chromosome from the father for a XY genotype (mothers only pass on X chromosomes). The presence or absence of the Y chromosome is critical because it contains the genes necessary to override the biological default - female development - and cause the development of the male reproductive system.
